Kurt Carr + Avalon = Great Music

I have been a Kurt Carr fan for quite a few years.  His song, "In the Sanctuary" was a huge hit and is a standard worship song in many churches today.  His smash hit song "The Presence of the Lord is Here" took Byron Cage to the top of the Gospel charts.  Kurt is an innovative, creative musical risk taker - and I love that!  

I was talking with Greg Long a few days ago and Kurt Carr's name came up in the conversation.  I expressed my love for Kurt's music and Greg informed me that Avalon had just recorded a song with Kurt Carr!  Imagine that!  One of my favorite Christian groups, Avalon, paired up with one of my favorite Gospel music writers/artists.  I just downloaded "My Shepherd," (Psalm 23).  It does not miss the mark!  Check out Kurt Carr's new release, "Just the Beginning."  Enjoy!

My little piece of the planet is tucked away in the hills of Tennessee, zip code 37015.  Life, as I see it from this angle, is pretty good.  I'm close enough to feel connected to the heartbeat of Music City but far enough away to feel a little isolated from the music machine.  Maybe I'm a just a country girl at heart.  Maybe I just want an excuse to take a country drive so I can write a song.....
